At The Hub, we’ve been servicing bikes for over 35 years.
Our workshop has built a reputation for quality workmanship and value for money – we love bikes and we love getting them back on the road for our customers.
Our workshop was built on the foundations of Robert’s early career as an A Grade Motor Mechanic and together the Hub staff has over 75 years of professional workshop experience. We provide a complete range of services on all types of bikes including welding, wheel building, restoration, crash repairs and of course custom builds. Hub staff keeps up-to-date with the latest technology and continue to build on their experience by attending professional training courses in New Zealand and Australia.
We prefer to repair parts first rather than replace them, as long as it’s safe to do so, which keeps costs lower for our customers.
How long does a repair take? We aim to complete repairs the same day or within 24 hours. Urgent and quick repairs like punctures can be done on the spot if required.
Do I need to book? Booking is not necessary and we can estimate completion times when you bring your bike in for repair.
Can I get a repair done on Saturday? If a repair is urgent, we will attempt to do it that morning. Otherwise you can drop your bike in on Saturdays for pick-up the following week.
How much does it cost? The cost of repairs varies, but we do have set prices for standard services. We try to keep your repair costs to a minimum so our skilled mechanics will always repair rather than replace with a new part where possible.
